Cinema is an ever-changing art. It follows technology but also politics and events going on all around the world at any given time. The 2010s have been a particularly revolutionary decade in the film industry and this article details everything from the ruthless take over of the industry by Netflix which has only been officially around since 2010 and has only been producing movies and series since 2015, to the newly found diversity in casting, both in race and gender and back around to the superheroes and Disney characters which have shaped movies in the last years.

This article is all about the influence that the outside world has on cinema and then the power of cinema and how it influences the world in return. A few examples are the social, political and artistic aspects used in many movies. The writer explains how cinema has helped keep an open mind and has pointed out the many injustices that we might not be aware of in the everyday world. The author also mentions the marginalized minorities and the injustices that those with differences have to face each day.
It is a wildly accepted misinterpretation that The Wizard of Oz is the first movie that was ever made in colour when it's not, although it was one of the first and is definitely the most popular right now. This article explains the process of technicolour, which was used to allow audiences to experience this wonderful movie with deeply saturated colours instead of dull shades of black and white. The process is complicated and the equipment is delicate.
